About

Yale ITS began offering WordPress sites for courses in the summer of 2006. The first site was made by students studying Modern British Architecture in London. Over 100 courses a year now use the Commons as do a number of student and research groups. It is also a platform for publishing digital scholarly projects.

The Yale Academic Commons is a collection of online tools offered by Yale’s Instructional Technology Group. It is for students, faculty and staff who need a flexible, online platform to help them with their academic work.

With the Commons, you can create things such as websites, blogs, wikis and content management sites.
