The Yale Academic Commons is an online academic community built on WordPress. Commons is for students, faculty and staff looking for a user-friendly way to collaborate, communicate and publish on the Internet.

Yale ITS began offering WordPress sites for courses in the summer of 2006. The first site was made by students studying Modern British Architecture in London. Over 100 courses a year now use the Commons as do a number of student and research groups. It is also a platform for publishing digital scholarly projects.
